Introduction

At present, the domestic dilatometer in HTHP adopted contact linear transducer can simulate the wellbore condition and obtain linear displacement of mud cake. Because of unreasonable structure of expansion cell and adopting contact displacement sensor, the measured linear displacement can not reflect the true displacement of mud cake and then make experimental errors increased.

Now we developed the new non-contacting smart dilatometer in HTHP—JHTP, which adopt eddy current method to detect welling capacity of clay mineral precisely under formation condition and anti swelling rate of adding antiswelling agent. The more important is the probe head not contacting sample.

The apparatus is a very important part of a research, which was award the second award of national science and technology progress.
